If God calls on you to do something for him would you say yes or argue and give all the reasons you can't or aren't qualified. Mary was called on to be the mother of Jesus and had to give an answer to the angel right away.

Many people look at their lives and ask the questions like: Who am I ? What could I ever do to help? and Who would ever want me??? I am here to tell you that God wants you and all you have to do is be willing to say yes to his call no matter how small or large it is.

Have you ever had a party or been to a function where someone crashed it just to meet the guest of honor? That is exactly what happened to this host but the reaction from the guest wasn't what he expected. She broke so many protocols but that didn't matter to the guest - all he saw was her actions and with them he was pleased.

While I was growing up there was never any secrecy to the fact that I was adopted. I can remember my mom telling me that I was she and my dad saw some pictures of babies and said they wanted to have that one - just like getting a new little puppy. I know that wasn't right now but when you are 4 or 5 it was perfect. When I was young I can remember when kids would say your mom is mean to you if she said we couldn't do something and I would just answer no and I know because my mom picked me and...

As we get close to Christmas, I know that it is a very hard time for many people for different reasons. This week someone very special to me had to say goodbye to their dad. He had been ill for a while and wanted to go home to heaven to be with his heavenly father and all those that had gone on before him. I never got to meet him but I felt like I knew him and knew him well. You see, I am adopted and while looking for my medical history I found all of that plus so much more. I found a sister of...

Just another day... Have you ever been so busy that you tied a ribbon on your finger, taped a note to your car dashboard, or written on your hand to remember who and where you are to meet someone? In Isaiah 49:16 it says, “Look, I've written your names on the backs of my hands.” As well as our names, God had Mary’s name written on his hand. He knew all about her. He knew the plan that was ready for her to complete. I can only guess that Mary’s day started out like any other day. She...

Our story begins... a very riveting story of two men and Abigail. It is full of suspense, hostility, abuse, rage, vengeance, pending massacre, a passionate cry for peace, and finally an unforeseen love story. It would be just like watching any of the soap operas on tv but in this case the people you are about to meet are real.

“Why did I do that? Why did I say that? Why did I even think that?” These are questions that many ask themselves all the time? Often our way of dealing with these questions is to not to but rather to put up a wall around ourselves so we don’t have to face them. We build up walls to prevent others from getting too close because we feel uncomfortable or ashamed of what may have transpired. We feel they are our walls and hurts and we just cannot or will not let them go. When we do this, we...

When we give birth to our children it is such a time of joy and happiness. We acknoweleddge those times of lack of sleep with a special love. As babies we are up with them to feed and change them; then as youngsters we comfort them during those bad dreams and during the teen years we wait for them to get home from that special date. Through it all we don't mind, because they are our kids and we love them. The furthest thing from our minds is ever having to say goodbye to them forever.

We all know people who have a bad habit of speaking first and thinking later. My grandmother had a favourite phrase, “The easiest words to take back in the morning are those that are left unsaid.” I am sure you can think of times when you said something and as soon as the words left your mouth you knew it was wrong and wished you could take it back but it was now too late. When we were children and people would hurt us, our mom would come along and tell us it is okay because sticks and...
